Pros

You can always contribute to your hearts content. There is always an opportunity to *step* up... Pay is good. Expectations are high, but medium level performance is no punished. However, only stellar performance will truly appreciated. Doing your job is not rewarded. You must go above and beyond EVERY DAY to impress anyone. And NetApp always expects you to SUCK IT UP!

Cons

Unreasonably high-expectations. Sometimes, no good deed is left unpunished. If you try to be proactive sometimes, you will be left with more work/responsibilities and the same pay. It is almost impossible to get promoted, unless you know the right people and report to an office weekly. That is, in remote positions, work-from-home, you cannot expect a promotion, until you take it upon yourself to take a office position or just go to the office all the time.

Pros

Amongst the top companies in the data storage industry = company stability.

Cons

If you'd ask me a year or 2 ago, I would have given the company 5 stars. But, as with most tech companies now, they've started to follow the trend of return to office, regardless of logic. There's little to no room for exceptions and the company would rather sacrifice productivity regardless if they know the hardships for people living in metros (one way commute to the NY or SJC office can take 2 hours one way!) - that and there's no commuter benefits. You have to pay out of pocket and live in fear of not receiving your bonus if you miss the "thrive together" quarterly requirements.
