Pros

I am the only Digital Marketing Manager at NetBrain and the review published on 06/26/2015 was NOT written by me. Product: NetBrain has a solid product. I have been to trade shows and manage company’s social media accounts. I am able to see customer reaction every day. The CEO: I would have not accepted the offer to work here if it was not for him. He challenged me with ambitious goals and allowed me to work autonomously. He is intelligent, passionate and extremely accessible. Marketing: We have a strong marketing team at NetBrain. Our last month’s website traffic is 4.5x of what we had in Jan 2013 when I joined the company. We have 32,000 Facebook fans and 5,700 Twitter followers. Our peers with 10x customer base and revenues are far behind NetBrain on social media. We've been to more trade shows this year and have more than doubled the leads generated last year. Sales: We are hiring a lot of sales reps and leaders. I have had the chance to work with our new VPs. They look like great hires. A company recruiter told me that our newer sales staff is more experienced. Company: We have nice and talented people at NetBrain. I enjoy working here. You will get noticed and rewarded for your hard work (and the lack of it). NetBrain offers plenty of growth opportunities. I have passed on opportunities at the top west coast tech companies to work at NetBrain.

Cons

The company definitely has some growing pains. I don't think that there are any major issues that should discourage you from applying to NetBrain. If you have specific questions, feel free to comment here or contact me on LinkedIn.

Thanks for reviewing us and providing feedback on your experience over the last 3-4 years here! As a company, we're definitely united in our mission to grow NetBrain and serve our customers in solving problems they struggled to solve previously in their networks. It's a mission that we're passionate about, but we recognize how important time outside of your job is with family, hobbies and other loved one. Work-life balance is extremely important. Yes, many jobs have peaks and valleys and times that get busier than others, but we truly do focus on total wellness, It's great to see that you and others who have reviewed us are able to recognize that. I'd love to offer some insight on your feedback about coding, but I'm sorry to say that I don't have quite enough information to do that. I can tell you that we have a robust Research & Development team that makes up just a shade under 30% of the company and we are always focused on innovating and keeping the product well ahead of any competitors in the market. If you have any more specific feedback, please do share it with leadership. If you feel like your feedback hasn't gotten the attention it needs, reach out to your People Experience Business Partner. The People Experience team is always available to support you and help your messages reach the right channels. Thanks again for the feedback!

Pros

Leadership sets consistently ambitious goals that keep everyone motivated and focused. ;)

Cons

NetBrain talks a big game about innovation and leadership, but my experience was the opposite: bloated management, poor communication, and a culture that felt more focused on appearances than execution. The leadership under the CEO came across as disconnected from employees and customers alike, with constant churn, unrealistic expectations, and little accountability when things went wrong. What’s most disappointing is seeing major firms like Blackstone associated with a company that, from the outside, looks far more polished than it actually operates internally. The product promises efficiency, but the organization itself often felt inefficient, reactive, and overly political. Overall, I would not recommend working with or for this company unless major leadership and cultural changes happen first.
