Pros

Schedule, 7 days on and 7 days off. Insurance Fly from home with good airline service.

Cons

You will presented with a never ending and I mean, never ending stream of 12-13 hour duty days as a pilot. You aren’t worthy of being compensated like a professional pilot, instead you make about 60% of what you should be paid, and Im being conservative. You will have randomized start times and overnight “Hot Spare” assignments usually lasting until 2 or 3 AM wherever you happen to be at the moment… never mind your body clock time. Your day will change continuously throughout the duty day due to a completely unqualified and inexperienced fresh college graduate with a degree in underwater basket weaving creating and continually manipulating your day, no doubt because they get a bonus to milk every last ounce of life from you. You will fix the unbelievable amount of problems from a complete lack of planning or support from the staff at Netjets because they don’t want to compensate them properly either. You get to play under paid butler, baggage chunker and they even let you clean toilets, clean and restock the rest of your aircraft in between flights, oh, and get the clearance, program the FMS, verify the flight plan, check weather and notams and fly the plane. Then after you load 1000 pounds of bags in the middle of summer at various luxurious vacation destinations you fly to the next stop and unload all of the insane amounts of luggage these folks bring with them. If you want to build jet time for a year (if you can stand it) then this is the job for you. Management has no idea they don’t have the same stranglehold on their pilot group they once had, soon they will figure it out as there won’t be enough pilots to fly the rich people around. They feel like they do not need to negotiate until 2029…good luck with that. There is a mass exodus on the near horizon and they simply do not understand nor do they care that there are way too many options in the pilot world that pilots do not have to deal with this nonsense. After 21+ years, I’m leaving.

Informations Technology Everyone working hard for a solution

Cons

Did not really have the opportunity to talk with the crew. For safety reasons, they were behind closed doors. But, it could have been fun to hear stories, and let them get to know is )outside of the flying) and what we do.
