Pros
Benefits are fair. PTO policy is excellent, you want a day off, you get a day off. Health Insurance is great if you're young and healthy, not so much if you're a high risk individual. People are knowledgable, if you even get five minutes edgewise with someone who is talking with his or her brain. On the surface, the mission statement appears to be something that you are for, as mental health and substance abuse are two hot beds in healthcare today.
Cons
Where to begin? Substandard pay, minimal training, management who is arrogant, and at times unknowledgable. The appraisal process is devastating, to the point where management directly tells you pre-appraisal that some of you will not get compensated appropriately. Software is a piece of junk. If you need to rely on Java in 2014, you need to move on. Seems that Overland Park is the best place to be for an NTST employee, while satellite offices are left to rot. There is a severe disconnect with management; employees are left to wonder what sense of direction the company is headed towards. The mantra should be "Every dollar matters" not "Every day matters"
