Pros
Friendships with coworkers that are also sad
Cons
Most company’s mission statements are a joke but Netsmart’s is truly comical once you’ve spent any time in the organization. Employees are treated and paid poorly unless you’re chugging the Kool-Aid or deemed a Chosen One. I genuinely felt bad for the customers. Sales doesn’t know what they’re selling (not necessarily their fault, the software is not impressive to begin with and most of the original architects and engineers are gone or actively planning their escape) but management doesn’t care because once a customer signs the paperwork Netsmart knows they have them on the hook for endle$$ exten$ion$ and/or customization$. Cross-org collaboration doesn’t exist. Consulting doesn’t have the bodies to keep up with what’s being sold. Utilization is 36 hours/week. Requirements for utilization bonuses change every quarter so they effectively never exist. EOY or quarterly bonuses don’t exist until you’re upper management. PTO got switched to unlimited during COVID ~strictly~ to improve employees’ mental health, it definitely had nothing to do with having to pay seasoned people out when they left or to scare new people from taking PTO to begin with.
