Pros
Some decent team members to learn from and network with Casual dress policy - unless meeting with clients Moderate health care coverage - better than most but not great
Cons
I honestly don't know where to start. Virtually everything about this company is fake and misleading. I bought into the optimism when I took the job only to quickly find out it was all a facade and the emperors have no clothes. When you come in you will be told the company is on a mission to improve healthcare, they care about employees, and you can have a lot of fun working there with ample opportunity to further your career. What they don't tell you is that you'll work endless hours, the only thing that truly "matters" is revenue, revenue, revenue, and you are just a replaceable worker bee. Netsmart is the biggest player in the behavioral health market and they know it. It's not saying much, but there is no competition because the other vendors don't know what they are doing either, and Netsmart buys most of them anyway. It's just software at the end of the day, it's not changing healthcare anymore than a Crown Victoria police car is stopping crime. Actually probably less. They claim employees matter, but that's just talk. The execs even fire their own and don't even speak of it. Recently the failed head of implementations was tossed out and not so much as a single email went to the masses about it. Because at Netsmart you do not talk about problems, or negative things, or you can kiss your job and career goodbye. You must be fake and be a yes man, especially to the COO, at all times, if you want to get ahead. I know because I have done so myself and it makes me sick. I can't stand to look at myself in the mirror anymore when I come home having to idly agree with others when I know I have valuable input to offer that can help our clients and our employees, even if it's hard to hear.. Say yes, smile, and collect your promotion while Rome burns.
