Pros

Truly Nice People. Company does listen when possible and tries to make work bearable. Excellent retirement matching

Cons

Employee owned structure means that there is long tenure for management senior staff and minimal upward mobility. Organization is framed as a matrix, but there is a strong power hierarchy-entry level employees and administrative staff shoulder disproportionate responsibility relative to pay compared to peer firms. Entry level employees are viewed as replacable and there’s a relatively high level of attrition at the VP level and below. Coordinator role is not well defined and is often silo’ed from opportunities within department. Coordinators within wealth management and other roles that require licensing are given the opportunity to take exams, but sponsorship is a courtesy and very few get realistic experience. Systems are blue chip, but poorly executed. You will routinely get asked for the same information multiple times a day from different departments because there is no centralized information system.
