Pros

Flexible location, you can be fully remote or hybrid or fully in the office if you choose. Fantastic work life balance. both individual teams as well as company culture encourage a healthy balance between work and non-work. people are flexible and willing to understand extenuating circumstances. Workload is manageable and you are told early on to let it take a back seat once 5 PM rolls around. Great product and discounts. New Balance makes fantastic shoes and athletic wear (my opinion). the discounts are fantastic, and get even better at the end of each calendar year. Involvement in local community. New Balance is a well established Boston company and takes an active role in nonprofit work and other cool community happenings. I've already volunteered with my team on two separate occasions. Company culture. New Balance really promotes collaborating between and within teams, and not just on work. at least once a month there is an event going on for people to just get together and chat, either formally or informally.

Cons

Slow going. Like with many large corporations, New Balance can be slow when adopting changes in the organization as a whole. Sometimes, people are hesitant to own workstreams within a team. Remote work is great when I want it, but it can sometimes be a challenge meeting with people in different timezones or those who are not physically present.

Pros

New Balance has genuinely been the most positive workplace experience I've had in my career. The culture is supportive, inclusive, and full of great people. People are kind, curious, collaborative, and truly invested in helping others succeed. There is no sense of hierarchy for hierarchy's sake. Leadership is approachable, down-to-earth, always happy to listen, and continuously expresses gratitude for everyone's contributions. I feel valued everyday, both for my contributions and in the way the teams collaborate. Work-life balance is also a real strength. Being privately-held and family-owned, there is a real emphasis on employees being people outside of work. Expectations are clear and boundaries are respected, which makes it easy to bring your best self to work without feeling burnt out. It's rare to find a place where you feel this appreciated and excited about the work. And because of this, I feel motivated to do my best for the company, especially when the product is something I'm super proud to work on.

Cons

NB is not where you can expect to be promoted year over year. However, this ultimately leads to more job security, consistent large bonus pay-outs, and a more stable environment.
