Pros

- Unmatched talent: cream of the crop here and lots of people to learn from - Strong tech culture: embraces new technology and is very supportive of the tech side of the business (hack weeks, tech committees) - Generous tuition reimbursement - Vacation and sick time is the best of any place I've been - Good work/life balance

Cons

- Strong talent sometimes translates into big egos: people can be less open to ideas and are adamant about having things their way - Politics between departments made it difficult to do the job - Strong female leadership exists in the company but cannot be seen at the executive level

Pros

Challenging and rewarding work. You'll work in an environment that publishes the news everyday, if you are excited about helping people learn more about the world, you'll love it here. Good benefits, hybrid work, and really smart coworkers.

Cons

Does not pay like big tech but as an IC you'll be part of union with job protections
