Pros
This is a good entry level position into the mortgage processing industry. Once in the position for 1 year, the opportunities for advancement are limitless. My team had a good support system from direct manager. Very minimal micro management which makes people want to stay for the long-term. There is a mountain for information to learn and know for the first 3 months, but after that you'll know what you are doing.
Cons
The training is not the best. Most of what you learn is through making mistakes (trial & error). You have to be comfortable with asking for help, and good at either remembering everything or taking notes. The other downside is that the health insurance is very expensive here and investing in the 401K just doesn't make sense if you don't plan to stay longer than 3 years because you will not be able to keep most of the money.
