Company mergers forged this company and will continue to forge them with their latest. As you meet the team members who have lived through each of the mergers and still work for Newrez, you will find that many harbor resentment for being a part of these mergers but may still be sticking around the organization due to higher pay or the promise of more prominent titles opening in large part due to the high turnover. All of these major changes have left a company with a lack of identify internally and a toxic work culture with team members in every department. The multiple year battle to integrate with another massive company will just compound this further.
Additionally, the decisions for technology direction have largely been fed by business leadership at the expense of the customer's happiness. Read enough reviews on the internet from customers complaining about their refinance taking 3-6 months and you'll understand more about this company. Strong on getting you in the door - all the rest? Good luck.
Lastly, I left Newrez for a better professional opportunity. I was not treated poorly personally and was happy to have had an opportunity to work there. However, I think people should have a realistic expectation set for them before considering joining the company. I joined without this understanding and had I known what to expect up front I may have chosen otherwise.
