Software Manager only cares if you are sitting in your desk and will constantly be sneaking to check if you are there, but when it comes to have a clue how to instruct the developers on the system and the task assigned there is no way you can get any useful information from him, so you have to put a patch in a big Frankenstein system instead of a solution with a proper analysis and planning.
