Pros
Team: Ambitious, smart and hardworking… The team is one of the best aspects of NewtonX. Diversity and female empowerment are highly valued. Top management is reachable and supportive, and always ready when we need guidance Timing: We are an early stage company, and the number of employees, as well as clients, are skyrocketing! Each and every person who has joined the team has added value and color to the company. Also, everyone can see their effect on the creation of the company values and culture. Trust and Autonomy: Building trust is paramount at NewtonX since every team member is trusted to do the right thing. More trust brings more autonomy and responsibility in a short amount of time. It motivates me to push my limits and improve more every day Exciting Work: At NewtonX, we are building the world’s most advanced knowledge access platform. The technology behind the platform and the product evolves and improves every day. To be successful, we need to adapt to the new features while being detail-oriented and fast. We should understand the topic/technology we’re working on and reach out to the right people through an appropriate approach in a timely manner. The work is never routine, it changes every day, we learn something new every day and this is a unique state of work where it could only be achieved in a company like NewtonX.
Cons
Workload: Like any other early-stage tech company, from time to time the workload may become overwhelming and while this is of course expected, it does not turn into “common practice”. We have been hiring new team members, so these irregularities in the workload are becoming infrequent. Also, compared to many other early-stage startups, we have a very satisfying work/life balance Growth: The high level of growth brings some difficulties since the number of employees has almost doubled in the last four months. NewtonX, however, is really working on offering more team bonding activities with happy hours, team dinners, etc. and as we keep focusing on communication and transparency, we will be able to minimize the growth-related problems
