Pros
Depending on your department, there are opportunities for flexible work hours and work from home sometimes. Pay is good. We have a cafeteria in the building and there is a gym on campus. There are lots of learning opportunities at Nidec - they encourage you to further your education via professional organizations, formal education, and certifications. There are employee events during the workday occasionally and some (such as a holiday party) after work.
Cons
Nidec is a huge corporation with business units all over the world. While this provides a great opportunity for growth and knowledge sharing, it also can make it more difficult to get things accomplished. There can be communication barriers and not all the BUs operate in the same way.
