Thank you for your review. We set the salaries based on the market, company revenue, skills, experience required, and pay philosophy. NGK is a whole company. By this, we mean that we are the products, the people, the benefits, the opportunities, the culture, and of course, the pay. We believe the combination of these things is our competitive advantage. We also benchmark this data using a third party (Mercer) and recently purchased a tool to assist with this, PayScale, because it is important to us. There will be companies that pay more than NGK, and there will be some that pay less. Our intention is not to simply be the highest-paying company. That is not sustainable. We want to be a GREAT place to work with good, competitive wages and all the other things that make that true in addition to pay. We continue to benchmark wages and adjust this as necessary.

Pros

Can work from home half the time, most of the people are nice and it is easy to get to right off the highway.

Cons

HR management is angry and unprofessional, often refusing to comply with employment law until forced. Senior management makes impossible demands with unrealistic timelines and then threaten you if you can't make it work. Work life balance is non-existent.
