Pros

Work/Life Balance... you can pretty much name your own hours and people come and go as they please much of the time. Benefit are good versus the competition, at least they were back when I joined.

Cons

The Irving campus is so far from Finland sometimes it seems we might as well be a 3rd party. There's very little training made available to employees. You can never travel anymore, even if it would really help the project. No one wants to spend the money. There's pretty much no leadership in Irving... just a bunch of small groups banded together in the same office building. The working environment is "open"... a bunch of short-walled cubes that makes it easy to sit around and chat, hard to get work done.

Pros

The core technologists and Bell Labs are great to work with. As a Finland based company, their benefits packages are better than benefits from typical American companies.

Cons

The brain drain in Operations and OSS is shocking and only getting worse. Salespeople are lying to customers to make sales happen, only to further embarrass everyone involved with incompetent delivery. The push for Data Center and the $1Billion Nvidia investment for AI-in-Everything makes Nokia the latest "Tech Bro", AI-First disaster.
