No professional development. Managers do not listen to engineers around them. Get to use 20 year old technology when there are better tools out there. The managers claim that they want to use experience of engineers with experience in larger organisations (especially as the teams were expanding), but the moment that the suggestions were not work-free (i.e., it did require commitment) the advice was ignored and things went back to usual.
