Pros
Generous 401k match, HSA contribution and pension plan are some of the positive benefits to the organization. The company values are deep rooted in philanthropic contributions and offers "time and talent" options for employees volunteering time to 501c3 non-profit organizations.
Cons
The mantra at Nordson is to do more with less. This means that when employees are exited (retirement, resignation or managed out), they are not replaced and the remaining employees are expected to do their job PLUS the job of the departed employee. Due to this, many managers would rather hang on to poor performers (because they will have to do the employees work when they let them go), than to manage them out.
