Pros
The discount is very generous and no task is really that complicated, just mundane and boring. You do have the ability to transfer and work in the full line Nordstrom store where it is a much better atmosphere. This will only happen if you express to upper management you want a career with Nordstrom.
Cons
Working at one of the retail locations is awful. Customers expect the same type of service as you would get at the full line Nordstrom stores and management expects you to cater to their every need while still completing unrealistic tasks before you leave for your shift. You'll only be on managements good side if you continuously open up store credit cards, which are pretty bad deals to begin with. Don't be fooled by hearing Nordstrom is one of the best companies to work for; that statement is directed to the corporate offices, not retail locations.
