Pros

Quite possibly the best at what they manufacture. The shutter program is the best in the industry and the wood/faux wood program is top notch.

Cons

Company is based in China, run by an Indian, and that is the way they do business, not friendly to American culture and very sexist in treatment of women. The pay structure is horrible. A base of 30K, but hey you're in a commissioned sales position so that's good. However you are only paid 1% commission!!! The way you are paid is never full explained and always felt that there was something shady going on, says new business you get a 2% bump for growth, then is changed to new business over previous year's same month, but you were never given numbers when asked. Your territory is capped at 5 million, never told that officially. Management's motivation is by negative reinforcement, never an "Atta Boy" given to employees. Customer Service, which a TSM relies on heavily, is uneducated and poorly trained, they upset your customers and you eventually lose them. Management's idea is that you just go out and replace them (no concern over the poor reputation that is out there among the window treatment society), not try to save the customer. Top management will turn the company philosophy on a dime so everything is in flux constantly and you're scared job about your future. You're forced to take PTO or go unpaid at Christmas time because the factory shuts down in China for the holidays, hence the company shuts down another thing not told to you. There is little chance for growth and from seeing what the GMs are put through, you wouldn't want to be promoted. An example is that a GM was fired August 31st, and the position has been vacant for going on 9 months because it has been turned down because of pay or the way management treats employees.
