Pros

There is not a single thing that I would consider a pro

Cons

-Little to no diversity: if you’ve done any research at all you’d know by now that this company is a white boys club. Take a look for yourself by visiting their website. You’ll be scrolling for quite a bit to find a woman and POC. -No guidance until it’s absolutely too late. For example, in Oregon a landlords ability to give tenants 10 day notices resumed in July. Even though they had weeks to prepare us by sending us forms, explaining their expectations of us, etc, everything was sent out midday they say that the notices were to be mailed and posted. It’s very indicative of poor leadership, structure, and communication. -Verbal abuse and thankless. As mentioned above, it is obvious that the executives lack people and managerial skills, but they will absolutely berate you for the smallest mistakes… meanwhile, we get sent three different forms in one day because no one at the head office thought to proofread. In Oregon we’ve worked through a pandemic, an ice storm, fires, we take the brunt of public complaints while you raise their rent in the middle of a pandemic and never did anyone reach out and say thank you for your hard work, or I know it’s been hard, we’re almost through this. Nothing. -I’m pretty sure this is illegal but they threaten to delay your paycheck if you don’t make deposits early enough. Which is stressful especially if your residents have not paid yet, how do I deposit money I don’t have? How can you threaten to delay my paycheck, I’m exchanging my labor for a paycheck. I have saved multiple emails from the VP and accountants and plan on submitting a claim to Boli. -Compensation is abysmal compared to the revenue that each property brings in. Sounds great with the apartment being including in the compensation package but you’ll soon find it is quite an horrifying situation you’ll find yourself in if you were to be fired or try to find another job. Google Norris and Stevens lawsuit.
