Pros
As a whole, I would say that people are friendlier and more professional at NCSU compared to other universities with similar levels of academic quality. They also focus more on getting to students the skills and opportunities they need to get hired in industry.
Cons
Depending on the graduate department and committee, the coursework and networking opportunities available may be less focused on preparing students to land academic positions compared to those available at similar universities. However, as stated, not all programs fit that general trend. Moreover, the emphasis on academia relative to industry at NCSU is only noticeably, not grossly, different.
