Professional environment with staff genuinely focused on alleviating suffering in the mental health field with superb teams of doctors, nurses, social workers, and recreational therapists serving the population.

Cons

Sometimes the staff do not feel appreciated by the management and there seems to be little communication between management and staff.

Pros

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I joined North Star but I have to say I am so pleased with my decision to join this organization. The staff are some of the most collaborative and team centered individuals I have ever worked with. I leave feeling like I made a difference every day.

Cons

I would recommend talking to staff that work there now - it’s an amazing environment and everyone seems genuinely happy.

The pros are the patients, met great mentors

Cons

Poor management and leadership. This is the environment where if you get hurt they blame the staff. They don’t provide support at all.
