Only thing good was working from home

Cons

Very shady company. Have to put up 900.00 before you even start. The script is very deceiving, and the leads were terrible. I was talking to a lady living in her car. Trust me on this . Please STAY AWAY from these guys.

Thank you for your candid response. We are very sorry this venture did not work out for you. Opening and running your own business can be very difficult, even when you have the support and partnership of an entire organization behind you. It is not for everyone. It comes with a high level of pressure to get results or you don't make any money. It can only be assumed based on the brevity and tone of your review that you fall into that category. I'd like to address the misleading statements you made in your review. You contacted us with a desire to open your own home based business. You contacted us because we have a very successful business model and will help licensed life insurance agents, such as yourself, manage and run that business so all the work does not fall onto your shoulders. Your only responsibility is to focus on selling and getting results while we take care of all the prospecting, lead generation, compliance, customer service and conservation of your business. As part of this agreement we will also share a large percentage of the profits with each agent partner (the more sales that are made, the larger percentage we can share). Another part of this agreement involves a small cost share on your part to help us maintain systems and update programming/compliance on a monthly basis. It is only a couple hundred dollars per month but when someone new joins, we do ask them to commit two months up front. North Star requires this for two reasons: 1. To make sure each agent gives this new business venture a fair shot and allows themselves plenty of time to learn every aspect of running their new business. 2. We also need to protect ourselves in case the agent is in over their head or never produces. We spend thousands of dollars every week on our agent partners and we do not recoup those costs unless they are productive and making sales. We made all of this abundantly clear to you before you started. It was your choice to make this investment. I don't know of any other businesses you could open with a smaller investment than $900 total for your first two months. You also complained about the script and the leads. Unfortunately, this is a common complaint from people who are not able to produce and are typically not coachable. You must be coachable to experience sustained success on this platform and in life. Period. We have an extensive corporate training program that covers everything from A-Z multiple times. It is probably the thing our business is complimented on most. You were given hundreds of leads when you started with us. We have hundreds of agents who have made very good money selling those leads on this platform. You can see videos of them celebrating at our last convention trip on our facebook page and YouTube. Actually these are probably what attracted you to us in the first place. We again had the #1 agent in the entire country come from North Star. We also had more agents in the top 5% than any other company. So, the problem was clearly not the leads or the script. Our sincere advice to you is please learn to point the finger inward and not blame others for your own shortcomings. You will get much further in life focusing on yourself and the things you can control rather than putting all the blame on things outside of your control. As for your advice to us, please keep it. We have never nor will we ever tolerate any pressuring or manipulating of customers. We have a Quality Control department who's sole purpose is to check for things just like this. If you feel you were doing this while on our platform, we are very happy that you chose to move on. We consistently get phone calls from our customers thanking us for helping them with their needs and complimenting our agents who were trained to treat them with respect. Its sales. Its not always easy. Thats why sales people make the most money hower.
