Pros

Advanced scope of practice for EMS paramedic. Hospital equipment utilized. Supervision is very supportive. Stationed at Firehouses and no posting at various locations. Close knit support with BCFD. No micromanaging. 12 hour shifts.

Cons

Higher up does not support nor care for EMS division. Manager position cannot stay filled. Trucks consistently break down and front line vehicles are rarely used. Pay is very well below average pay of other agencies. County is increasing rapidly and agency will absolutely not request any more med units. Division Manager Erick refuses to acknowledge EMS and provide any help or support, he gives all good resources to the far less busy White County EMS. Agency would rather spend funds on new uniforms rather than functioning vehicles. No longevity of agency due to only renewed 1 year contract. No training. Management has no idea what theyre doing. Agency will probably be lost and bought out to another company. Agency higher up is an "Old Boys Club" especially the EMS manager Erick. Will take advantage of your generosity or care.
