Pros
A small campus that allows you to develop strong relationships with those in different departments of you. Exposure to a rich history and wonderful values that were established before the merger.
Cons
The internal structure is completely disorganized. The Oakland campus has no authority over itself, leaving it to rely on the direction and approval of the Boston campus. However, it's clear that the Oakland campus is constantly overlooked by the Boston campus. The leadership on the Oakland campus cares more about looking like good leaders to the Boston campus, rather than actually being good leaders to the Oakland campus. The politics of working on a campus that was recently acquired are frustrating. Avoid working here if you actually care about working with and helping students.
