Pros

Pay is ok and job is good if you are very lazy. I am not lazy but if you are then this is the job for you!

Cons

Rude coworkers, drama lamas all over, no escape from the highschool behavoirs even in management. No respect for what you do. No breaks( but lunch...sometimes) can't even pee because you can't leave your pt. CNAs and Nurses get bored and start crap with other employees they deem lower than them. Talk about each other, complain about having to do their jobs, complain and complain for the entire 12 hour shift! How can they complain that much! The name calling, making fun of pts, pts families, mocking empoyees and pts just very low maturity. To be nice to them was to show weakness to the sharks. It wasn't worth anything they could offer to stay. High turn over rates because of this and mistreatment of staff. You can make just as much as a waitress or at dunkin and not have to deal with death, illnesses, suicides, mental illness, being attacked phsyically or verbally by pt and staff. Seriously they train you in selfdefense. Yes it is that bad. Bed Rails hurt!

Pros

There were no real pros

Cons

Trained for half a day in diagnostic imaging and witnessed multiple issues effecting patient safety and profit over quality. Was told directly that if there were to be audits serious infractions could result. I refuse to work in a place that abuses staff and actively demonstrates disrespect of an entire dept that generates so much profit and plays an important part in clinical decision making. Also relies on staff to generate detailed reports above and beyond what is rational and offered no discussion or plan for improvement. No wonder they are always dying for help there and the patient wait times are often 1 to 2 hours for routine outpatient imaging. Entire staff from hr down was overwhelmed and understaffed with little to no orientation for a large and busy facility. Drs were explained to be threatening and harassing of staff as well on very first shift of training and that you should just get used to it and show you "want to learn" and there would be less harassment. Laughable in my 14 years of experience ive never seen such disrespect.
