Pros
Good benefits and decent pay. I am fortunate to be able to work from home and I have a supervisor who grants me time off whenever I need or request it.
Cons
They are in over their heads and outsource everything they can. They don't have time to micromanage so they don't pay any attention to us at all. My supervisor can't make any decisions on her own, but her supervisor has zero concern for any of the employees preferences, desires, skills, or experience. She only looks at numbers and what is easier for her. Our small rural hospital was "acquired" by them and without knowing anything about any of the employees they purchased, they upended us and redistributed us without discretion. My former supervisor was not even asked about us. In fact, she was pushed out into a different department. Despite my skill and experience, she forced me into an area I was unfamiliar with and gave my complicated, high-volume payer to someone who does not understand nor have the capability of handling the challenges involved. Over the past two years the entire NLH network has begun to tank financially and has begun to lay people off. I can't help but wonder if the Management of the billing department has anything to do with this situation.
