Unfortunately, any great experiences at Northern Trust are overshadowed by bad practices of management. Bad managers are often supported by higher level managers, and are often encouraged, promoted, and rewarded. Some of the bad behavior includes bullying, lying, manipulation, and purposely disconnecting from certain team members. Team members who align with bad managers are promoted and rewarded. Those that do not align with a bad manager are strategically pushed out, creating bad morale and a culture of fear for their team.
