Product-driven culture - Pension Processor Northwest Administrators Employee Review

Pros

Bargaining unit position so pay is good with incremental raises; PTO and holidays are good

Cons

Policies can be ambiguous and bureaucratic; many supervisors have become jaded and/or are too busy to give their direct reports the proper support; making analysts’ jobs easier is a higher priority than making it an even workload between processors and analysts; environment is extremely product-driven under the guise of providing excellent customer service; accuracy expectations are extremely high while not providing enough resources for processors

Pros

Organized, benefits, easy to learn role and material after some time, and made friends

Cons

Weird, nonexistent culture (encouraged and established by management), benefits only available after certain amount of months (health 3, dental 6? if I remember and vision 12). Work from home offering is bait and switch as they are actively working towards fully eliminating it.
