Pros

Pay is ok I guess

Cons

Dont work in nsicu. The training is the absolute worst. I had a different trainer every day and sometimes even had new grads training. No consistency in standards of patient care or charting. Management was terrible, passive aggressive and contributed to the clique work environment. I was bullied and harassed and belittled because I was "quiet" which was somehow "rude". Very immature group of nurses that were not welcoming. I felt bullied since day. Staff was very unsupportive and spiteful towards nurses that wanted to further their education to leave the bedside. If I could give negative stars I would. Also the facility has punitive and disgusting attendance policy

Pros

Of all the companies I have worked for Novant has been the best experience. I moved back into leadership after years of having stepped back from leadership due to burnout and frustration. Novant invests more than any company I have seen in both frontline and leader development, with cohesive messaging about priorities. I truly enjoy the teams I work with.

Cons

IT was moved to overseas a few years back. They back-pedaled on this and moved some aspects back to domestic coverage, but overall, I can't see where this improves operational efficiency despite surface level savings.

Pros

I had a great experience as a Research Assistant at Novant Health. The team was welcoming, collaborative, and supportive of learning. I gained valuable experience in clinical research, data collection, patient interactions, and working alongside healthcare professionals. The environment encouraged professional growth, and I appreciated the opportunity to contribute to meaningful research while developing skills that will benefit my future career in healthcare.

Cons

Depending on the project, the workload could fluctuate, and some tasks were repetitive, such as data entry and documentation. However, these responsibilities are a normal part of research and helped reinforce attention to detail.
