Pros

No Pros unless you just have to have a paycheck.

Cons

Benefits getting cut. Departments getting "centralized" to Canada. Morale is horrible due to lack of caring from upper management. They talk about how wonderful they are to us, but just ask the lowly employee. They took our retirement away from us.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. There are currently no large-scale initiatives underway to centralize departments into Canada. With regards to benefits, our US and Canada programs were recently updated to add additional coverage in many areas for 2020. Regarding the retirement programs, we had to make the difficult decision to freeze legacy DB (defined benefit) pensions, allowing Nutrien to provide consistent programs going forward. In addition, DB pension plans are expensive and are a risk for a private company to offer. In making the switch to a DC (defined contribution) pension format, we ensure the sustainability of the programs in the future. We know it’s important to be market competitive in order to attract and retain the best talent and are confident our current programs deliver on that.
