Cons
Bad management. This is due to the fact that they don't promote employees with management experience. If you speak Spanish and can deal with the other employees you have a better chance at moving up. Even if you don't know how to manage people or have never taken a management or business class. The O'reilly culture is a joke that most stores don't even pay attention to. What goes on on a day to day basis is employees trying to steal your sales to get your commission. Even supervisors will take your sales right in front of you. People trying to get you to do their jobs because they are too busy on their cell phones or visiting with their friends in the store. Bad work scheduling that leads to employees not being able to take their lunches on time and never getting a break. They allow supervisors to verbally abuse low level employees. Miss use of delivery trucks to go buy Starbucks or breakfast from McDonalds, etc. Most stores have no official break room for employees. It's usually just a table and a couple of chairs down one of the store aisle. They "forget" to tell you in your interview that you will be required to meet sales goals each month and also "related" sales goes each month which they will increase when they see you getting close to it or passing it in order to keep pressure on you to work faster/harder at selling their products. I could go on, but I'm tired of typing.
