Pros
-Store level management - great store managers in my time, doing their best with very little they are given -High trust in associates, even if selectively - despite many, sometime costly, mistakes in my time, never felt for a moment that i would be in trouble as long as mistake was in an effort to help a customer
Cons
-Classic retail conundrum - corporate expects stores to constantly and consistently improve sales while reducing (labor) costs YoY, a model that is simply not sustainable, and holds store managers responsible for any shortcomings, creating an inescabable hampster wheel of struggle. -Consequentially, all but the best located and highest volume stores are faced with high manager turnover, leading to difficulty in maintaining a stable and consistent workplace
