O'Reilly Auto Parts

Is this your company?

Everything this company promotes to employees is a LIE. Corporate doesn't care about ANYONE who isn't management or up. - Parts Delivery Specialist O'Reilly Auto Parts Employee Review

Pros

I stayed busy, got to work with auto parts, got to work hard, got to meet new people, made some friends, made many connections, loved my job, loved my customers, they loved me, and I took pride in my work/store/vehicle/etc.

Cons

VERY LOW PAY, EXTREME favoritism/racism/corruption/sexism you name it, they take advantage of people who aren't familiar with the rules, LIE to team members about the rules, violate OSHA and Labor Laws, and SO MUCH MORE. The store I worked for takes advantage of the Latino customers here as many cannot speak English and are limited with who they can deal with within the store. It's PATHETIC. Corporate was notified MANY times by multiple people (I never did, though I should have. I just like to keep the peace, but that will only get you screwed over in this company.) Sadly.. the only way that I witnessed a team member overcome the abuse and nonsense she had to endure at our store.. she had to file a BIG complaint including sexual harassment.. it was true.. and after that... they couldn't touch her at the store.. so good for her. I should've followed suit, but I was stupid enough to think that the people whose backs I had.. would actually have by back in return.

Pros

The catalog system is easy to use and technology wise they are pretty up to date, very simple and convenient

Cons

The hours suck, the pay sucks. The company only cares about profit it’s no different from autozone, they are able to sell parts for less compared to Napa because they pay the employees barely above minimum, they don’t like giving raises no matter how hard your work you have to basically be a store manager or higher to get a good pay. They open more stores to make more profit and keep employees at the bare minimum. It sucks working there I think if your ISS, which is wholesale, you can make decent money with that because they give a bigger bonus from the amount of sales you make plus less responsibility and better hours but thats if a position opens up and you’ll probably be there 4 plus years until you can get that position unless you’re lucky and one opens up in the area.
