Pros

I was an employee for over 10 yrs. I would highly recommend ODW as a place to work, at any level in the organization. The Executive Team is engaged in the business and cares about the workforce and customers. The Senior Operations Team is as solid as they come and the Operations Leadership at the floor level genuinely care about people and behave like owners. The culture is value based, with emphasis on Trust, Team, and Balance. Trust is required for all successful relationships, as well as integrity and ethics, and ODW practices & possesses all of these characteristics. The organization is Team-based and supports this type of environment. Balance is owned by each individual, however, it is practiced at the Executive level and encouraged to be achieved by all. Growth is a driver of the business and ODW is positioned well to achieve their growth objectives.

Cons

The organization is learning to think more strategically & long term. This is new and at times, short term thinking-type of actions do re-appear. This is an issue with growth, no matter the company or industry, so I am confident this challenge will be worked out. Compensation tends to be a bit lower than the industry average of like size companies, however, the potential exists for all to participate in company-wide incentive plans (bonuses), along with several additional support programs in recognize performance.

Pros

Supportive and tight knit culture, small, but fast-growing company so lots of opportunity for both lateral and linear growth, and genuinely care about employees

Cons

Because it's a smaller company in the logistics and transportations industry (smaller margins), pay tends to be on the lower end at all levels, comparatively speaking. Most people find it worth it given the culture, career growth, and benefits
