No matter who you are at OMG National, you are a butt in a seat and you are replaceable. You are reminded of that every day you are there. Unless you are the Holy CIO who has ensured his job security by sinking money into a sub-par proprietary CRM called UNI which they stitched an even more sub-par Project Management system into. It integrates with NOTHING. He and his minion developer are the only ones who know how it works, so at any moment, he can trot away on his self-righteous high horse and leave the entire company to crumble on itself since the system is NEVER running at 100% and is riddled with glitches. He insisted on reinventing the wheel instead of implementing Salesforce and integrating it with other developer-friendly tools that the rest of the business world uses. Even in hindsight Salesforce as a solution is the clear winner in terms of usability and even cost, but his ego won't let him admit it. It's sickening to watch it all happen. One of the owners must have some sort of mental disorder because he is so scatterbrained and often gets a hair up his booty to implement a major change or a pea-brained new service to trick clients out of their money on a whim without planning or discussing with the teams of employees involved. And of course because he thinks his ideas are magical, he instantly expects everyone to drop what they were doing to focus on an effort that is doomed before it even gets started. The management does not have the necessary leadership or resources to do their own jobs effectively and yet they are expected to perform at higher than humanly possible levels which then trickles all the way down to the lowest level employees. Needless to say, morale is always low. People get burned out. They look for other jobs, take extended smoke breaks and play on Facebook instead of putting forth effort that they already know is not appreciated. Meanwhile their hundreds of customers who were duped into thinking they are a real marketing company pays month after month for "expertise" which is nothing more than smoke & mirrors.
