Pros

Work remote and equipment provided

Cons

Just horrible company management. Lied to during both interviews regarding comp plan and KPI expectations. Was told no cold calling and its 100% cold calling. Everything about this job was a travesty. Unless you want to be a telemarketer in the realest sense of the word, stay away from this company's sales team. Their idea of "Qualified leads" was just scraping business profiles from facebook. So often the phone number was bad, the business was ineligible, or the contact was just plain wrong. Their idea of "Engaged prospect" was someone who had [received] the 17 emails they sent them in the past 90 days. Any lead that actually engaged on the website or marketing was sent to the managers, who were also salespeople, or the senior sales people. Mangers had little time for coaching or assistance since they were also busy making calls. Training was basically a series of 30-minute web meetings with some department leads that seemed so bothered to have to attend, mostly because they are also overworked. They basically read off the white sheet for the product they were the "Specialist". The meetings were highly unorganized and obviously these "Department leads" did not even prepare and just spoke off the cuff with scattered information. One of them was not even up to date with the current pricing. And listening to 3-4 sales calls without any context. One of the calls I listened to was for a product that they didn't even really have anymore. Everything about this sales team is so disorganized and outdated strategies. It comes right out of 1980's boiler room style "Just dial the phone". Mo marketing funnel, no lead scores, no lead qualifying, no vetting. I am quite frankly surprised they aren't using an auto dialer. There is no Business Development here, just telemarketing. The CRM is a trainwreck. An in-house abomination that looks like the last update was in 1997. What sales CRM doesn't have a place to put notes? (Other than call comments which can't be edited and can't even be fully seen if it falls out the tiny section it is relegated to).

OMG National Response

Despite our flaws, our sales team continues to break records, adding hundreds of new clients to our roster each month. If you are looking for a sales opportunity with a residual component, an excellent team-based management approach, great benefits and six-figure earning potential, just give us a call!

Pros

Great environment great staff very understanding people. I have literally had the worst past 8 months of my life and these guys have shown nothing but care and understanding. I have never experienced a management staff that was so humane. They do have certain metrics they expect every employee to meet but they don't make these metrics impossible to hit like some companies do. With the world being what it is we need more companys full of people like OMG staff. Thanks to Jon and Abby for being killer bosses!!!

Cons

Lower pay than most but to me this is a trade off for their exceptional work/life balance.
