Pros
Entrepreneurial environment with very high volume at the airport. Readies you for any environment
Cons
You have upper management that make poor decisions with operations and personnel. You have corporate instating horrible new procedures without care of the outcome. You have hourly crew members that are disengaged and do whatever they feel like at work because multiple issues. Passing the background check with the Port Authority, then there is the Union that no matter how much evidence you have on an employees delinquent behavior, they still pass the grievance, and lastly battling your own HR team is always appreciated. Any new policy of procedure is never well thought out at this company and everyone is left to "figure it out". The architectural design of the kitchens and restaurants are a joke such that handicapped seats at multiple restaurants (both old and new) are removed in order to have a "pass line". Any kind of advancement in career here only comes from 1 of 2 situations. You either A, brown-nose your way up in this company, or B, whine, complain, and threaten to quit, in order to get some kind of compensation. There is no merit given for actual productivity. There are others that are barely functioning intellectually that make more than the real workers of this company. There are so many facets to this company that needs work, not one area can be improved nor does anyone care to do so. There is no learning curve from history and the same issues occur week after week.
