Cons

- Extremely low pay, they pay $8.50/hour for a job that should get at least $14-$15 - Managament was definitely the worst thing about this job. The three women that managed the center I worked at (Madison Heights) were all extremely rude, demeaning, unprofessional, uncaring, unhelpful, displayed blatant favoritism, and many times were abusive. You are nothing but a number and barely human to them. - Little room for advancement and managers lie to you and make false promises to get you to stay. - Unsafe and disgusting working environment: lots of harassment from hostile donors, many donors are felons or addicts and managament encouraged employees to not change gloves between donors even if they had blood or plasma on them. - Very ghetto coworkers and donors. - Racism against white employees by black employees. - Poor training and skills you gain here are very specialized and not transferrable to many other fields.

Pros

Competitive pay, easy work, great benefits.

Cons

Unexpected additional tasks specifically for MP’s that were someone’s only job in the past (for 0 additional compensation), toxic leadership (specifically the COM’s as they do not possess the skills to manage people in the way a legitimate manager would-hense why they were only ever supervisors previously) that ended up in the positions they have due to recent restructuring, micromanaging everyone to oblivion, complete and utter disrespect from those unfortunate people in make shift supervisory roles.
