Pros

- Great Benefits - Super Kool and successful product suite - Really smart and hardworking people - Young and cool technology and brand

Cons

- Really bad culture and the other seat warmers being hired from other big companies are not helping and are making it even worse. - Elite club mentality, favoritism and tight groups that only help and work with each other. - Operates on Exclusion than Inclusion. - Extremely hard to gain visibility as a new employee and takes years before people even know your name. Even then you will not be part of the “club”. - No scope of growth if you are not part of the club. - Good luck getting any support in your job when you need it if you are not in the club. - Even when you burn yourself out working or deliver amazing results, you will still not get the recognition you deserve and even if you do, you are made to feel as if you have been done a favor by management. - Their initiatives like People of Color, Women at Okta and other are a joke and they don’t truly believe in them. The company is built and thrives on exclusion. It’s purely tax saving gimmick and us internal folk see it as just something Okta HAS to do and not what they WANT to do. - After I put in my notice HR literally threw me a bone with an exit email with exit instructions in the last couple of hours of my last day. And by the time I could follow the instructions they took away my access. No exit interview nothing.

Pros

Smart, talented, and supportive colleagues. Interesting products and the opportunity to work on technology that impacts many customers. Good work-life balance in most teams. Collaborative culture with opportunities to learn from experienced peers. Strong brand recognition and valuable experience for your resume

Cons

Cons Recognition is lacking, especially for individual contributors. Strong performance and consistent delivery do not necessarily translate into career advancement, promotions, or meaningful salary increases. Growth opportunities appear limited for ICs, while management roles seem to receive a greater share of advancement and compensation opportunities. After several years, many individual contributors may find themselves reaching a career plateau with few clear paths for progression. If career growth, promotion opportunities, and compensation advancement are important priorities, it may be worth evaluating other opportunities once you’ve gained experience here
