Pros

There are still a lot of great people at Okta who want to do the right thing. The CEO is amazing, and he is right sizing the GTM strategy for the company after a tough 2022 (FY23).

Cons

Toxic sales leadership who dictate deals and focus on the wrong GTM strategies.

Cons

Like many publicly traded SaaS companies, Okta has aggressive revenue targets. Employees in sales, account management, and customer success frequently note that quotas are demanding, territories can change unexpectedly during annual restructuring, and pressure to expand accounts can lead to burnout.

Pros

Great Benefits. Fantastic product. Company is scaling (or at least trying to).

Cons

Management and company culture has grown toxic. Extremely political and dramatic. Specifically in sales, marketing, and the C-Suite. I wouldn’t recommend joining okta unless you are some type of director or above and also remote. SF just RTO’d and it’s been miserable.
