Pros

The pay is seemingly unmatched.

Cons

Working at this bureaucratic tech giant is frustrating. Bureaucracy creates unnecessary hurdles, and constant evaluations/tests (like so many... why so many... VMT, OAR, surveys, 360 reviews, certifications that need to be renewed every couple of years... let's focus on the customer more and less on employee busy work) add to the pressure. Sales reps treat their internal counterparts like trash, making things even worse.

Cons

Like many publicly traded SaaS companies, Okta has aggressive revenue targets. Employees in sales, account management, and customer success frequently note that quotas are demanding, territories can change unexpectedly during annual restructuring, and pressure to expand accounts can lead to burnout.

Pros

Great Benefits. Fantastic product. Company is scaling (or at least trying to).

Cons

Management and company culture has grown toxic. Extremely political and dramatic. Specifically in sales, marketing, and the C-Suite. I wouldn’t recommend joining okta unless you are some type of director or above and also remote. SF just RTO’d and it’s been miserable.
