Pros

Great portfolio of Identity solutions, customers that love the product and good team members to work with.

Cons

Some of the upper Management of Sales teams are toxic and abusive. Territories are constantly changing, every year huge lay offs and treatment of favorites towards reps happen. The Public Sector team across the US is under 18 mths in roles and the demands on closing business at Quotas which are ridiculously misaligned (Executives admit) and if Management does not like you, they will find a way to get rid of you if you speak up about the abusive and toxic treatment even if you have not completed 1 full year in the SLED organization. The pressure and expectations on the sales teams gives little to no work life balance.

Pros

A dynamic, fast-paced environment driven by top-tier talent and a deeply collaborative culture. The company successfully combines a high-growth startup mindset with agile execution, fostering continuous innovation and cross-functional support.

Cons

Like many publicly traded SaaS companies, Okta has aggressive revenue targets. Employees in sales, account management, and customer success frequently note that quotas are demanding, territories can change unexpectedly during annual restructuring, and pressure to expand accounts can lead to burnout.

Pros

Great Benefits. Fantastic product. Company is scaling (or at least trying to).

Cons

Management and company culture has grown toxic. Extremely political and dramatic. Specifically in sales, marketing, and the C-Suite. I wouldn’t recommend joining okta unless you are some type of director or above and also remote. SF just RTO’d and it’s been miserable.
