Pros

Great opportunity to learn everything about the workings of a mid-sized software company from fantastic people. Cybersecurity is hot and will continue to be for a long time. Very sticky software and awesome set of customer logos. A lot of initiatives to help the employees be successful, albeit with expected hard work.

Cons

Whilst extremely good at being employee empathetic, like many companies Okta spends too much time and effort on non-productive "newsworthy" activities and pandering to silly demands rather than helping mature those people into strong business leaders.

Cons

Like many publicly traded SaaS companies, Okta has aggressive revenue targets. Employees in sales, account management, and customer success frequently note that quotas are demanding, territories can change unexpectedly during annual restructuring, and pressure to expand accounts can lead to burnout.

Pros

Great Benefits. Fantastic product. Company is scaling (or at least trying to).

Cons

Management and company culture has grown toxic. Extremely political and dramatic. Specifically in sales, marketing, and the C-Suite. I wouldn’t recommend joining okta unless you are some type of director or above and also remote. SF just RTO’d and it’s been miserable.
