Pros
Great place to work. Weekly pay, affordable health insurance, 401(K), vacations paid at 9 hrs per day, after 1 year of service get 2 weeks (90 hrs), 2 personal days at 9 hrs paid, birthday off with pay. Very good equipment provided, trucks have A/C, friendly environment. In the three years working for OD, I have not heard a complain about OD from a co-worker; mechanics, forklift operator, office personnel, maintenance,... we all share the joy to be OD. Talking with other freight companies drivers gives an assurance that OD is the best of the best.
Cons
Due to the increase of new customers and existing customer expanding their business our facility is becoming small (230 loading docks) in Dallas, TX and need more trailers to serve our customers more efficiently. Trucks don't have a radio, new ones probably do, but as a city driver I don't get to drive a new one. But if you don't mind you can have your own boom box to listen your favorite tunes, of course you need to take it out after your day of work since there is no truck assigned to you as a city driver. Another thing I don't really like is that you may be driving a truck for sometime and then one day you won't see it no more because it has been swap to another terminal, for that reason you need to take your belongings with you everyday. No overtime paid after 40 hours instead after sixty.
