Incompetent management / Toxic work environment - Production Operator Oldcastle APG Employee Review

Pros

Decent wage and monthly luncheon

Cons

Zero management communication other then chatting about weekend plans in their daily production meetings. Zero accountability for mistakes made due to Zero communication. If there's downtime due to the abysmal state of the machinery and incompetence of the maintenence crew it's the operators fault and they need to do better. If we have a good day with little downtime because we've been putting out dumpster fires left and right running ourselves into the ground there's no pat on the back there's no good job it's just "well how could you still have done better?"

Pros

Flexible enough, small and disorganized enough that they can't come down on you too hard for small stuff. Would be a decent work life balance if you didn't end up with emotional issues and anxiety spikes from essentially experiencing narc/DARVO tactics, just in a corporate group setting.

Cons

The things that leader(s) here are seemingly able to get away with in the name of leadership, the way that they talk to people and the general culture of favoritism and corporate gaslighting/punitive treatment to those who question the tactics being used here is like something out of a movie. I would caution anyone who wants their nervous system to remain intact to refrain from accepting a role here. If you do well in mean girl groups and by blindly following ruthless authoritarian politics, then go ahead and consider- you might thrive. Regardless of all that... no real room for growth/ No career mobility unless you move divisions. No "careers" here at all, at least not in marketing. if you want a paycheck and mind games, go ahead.
