Pros

- The people when I worked there were strong developers - Strong team dynamics. Teams own the process from start to finish

Cons

I never worked somewhere with such strong employees and general talent that still failed to get anything done. The teams were strong and they really tried to own their products and deliver the best results for their stakeholders. But time and again management would step in demanding product changes that did not make sense. They once sounded an alarm bell for a new product launch that was "the #1 company priority". A couple teams pulled together, scrapping their current projects to finish it. As it turns out, there had been absolutely no customer verification and the people who brought this up were dismissed. After a year, there were 0 customers paying for the product. Then to fix the problem they brought in more managers. There was quite literally a 3-to-1 manager to dev ratio. And product owners on top of that. And for every 2 product owners they had a product manager they reported to. For six teams the product hierarchy had 4 levels. You spent more time as a developer managing your managers than you spent developing. At this point, almost all of their good talent was either laid off or quit. Hence the 1-star. I can't even recommend it based on the non-managers anymore.

Pros

Salaries are higher than elsewhere in the city.

Cons

There are reasons the salaries are higher than elsewhere in the city -- this business has many detriments.
