Pros
An ambitious idea for the property market, however, with the current team of decision-makers, OneDome doesn’t need any competitors - the company will drown itself.
Cons
During my employment, I never saw any proper planning or even a clear structure at OneDome. CEO has a warped idea of what young talent is. In a perfect world, a young enthusiastic employee is someone who needs nurturing and so the talent can grow. Unfortunately, at OneDome, I have been seen as someone to churn out work, being completely overwhelmed with unstructured random requests, crazy deadlines on a daily basis, along with his lack of empathy, understanding towards me, and respect. The start-up proudly proclaims its willingness to give anyone an opportunity to grow, transparency, and a fun working environment. When in fact, this couldn’t be more wrong. You will be constantly held back, massively underpaid and taken advantage of. As an example of the extremes, I have managed to turn my own story around: I spent over a year unsuccessfully trying to progress to the position I wanted, after going on courses, learning, doing extra work just to prove myself and working very long hours. I managed to get nowhere and after a heavy heart and feeling deflated, it took me less than 3 months from the moment of my resignation to get a job suitable for my skillset and to double my salary. All work is done in chaos and it clearly impacts the quality and discredits the expertise of those selected number of employees that can actually help the company to grow. The executive team lives in a bubble of unrealistic expectations and is not even able to manage conflicts professionally. The environment is full of toxic people craving for self-affirmation instead of collaboration and team progress. If you are young constructive feedback will never be taken well from you.
