Pros

Wide scope of products addressing information management needs. SAP channel brings awareness. Good financial health.

Cons

OpenText priority is to acquire (expensive) new companies and no longer to improve acquired products. Integration of the various acquired products under a same umbrella stopped years ago. The EIM message is well broadcasted outside, but inside, it's a different story : products are distributed between different business units, who do not cooperate and sometimes compete against each other ; solutions adopted for internal purpose don't even leverage the content management solutions of the company (CRM, expenses management, marketing assets management...).

Pros

While they claim to be "pro-employee" they are very much pro-Canadian employee. As long as you are a Canadian, your job should be safe. And US based role is in jeopardy.

Cons

Laying off all Americans. I do not see relevant data on location based statistics for the last 4 rounds of layoffs. The bulk of the "trimming" has been based in US. This is cost savings. Additionally, they post US based jobs for 24 hours then pull those and post H1B notifications that they could not find equivalent US resources and need to outsource for cheaper money.
